Cancellation & Refund Policy
Host cancels? You get your money back. Can't make it? Send a friend in your place.
This policy explains what happens to your money when a paid hangout or meetup is cancelled, when you can't make it, and for verified badges. All payments on BeSocialz are processed securely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card or bank details.

When a host cancels
If a host cancels a hangout or meetup, you get a full refund of the amount you paid. You don't need to ask for it.
- The refund goes back to the same method you paid with: UPI, card, net banking or wallet.
- Razorpay usually credits it within 5 to 7 working days. Your bank may take a little longer to show it.
- You'll be told in the app when the hangout or meetup is cancelled.
If the host changes the date, time or venue after you book, you can keep your seat or ask for a full refund before the new start time.
When you can't make it
Once you book, your seat is held for you. The host plans the table around the people coming and often reserves the venue for that number. That's why seats are not refundable if you cancel or can't attend.
But your seat doesn't have to go to waste. You can send a friend in your place:
- Message the host in the hangout or meetup chat before it starts.
- Share your friend's name. They need a BeSocialz account.
- Once the host approves, your friend takes your seat.
Your friend must fit who the table is for, such as the age group or language shown on the hangout, and must follow our House Rules. The host can say no if the friend doesn't fit the table. Any money between you and your friend is between the two of you.
No-shows and removals
- If you don't turn up, or arrive after the hangout has ended, there's no refund.
- If BeSocialz removes a hangout or meetup, for example for safety reasons or a break of our rules, every guest gets a full refund.
- If you are removed from a hangout or meetup for breaking our House Rules, there's no refund.
Payment problems
If you were charged twice, or money left your account but the booking didn't go through, you'll get a full refund. Failed payments are usually reversed by Razorpay automatically within 5 to 7 working days. If that hasn't happened, write to us with your payment details.
Verified badges
Verified badges (such as the Blue Tick and Gold Tick) are a digital service that starts as soon as it's activated, so they are not refundable once active. We refund a badge payment only if:
- you were charged twice for the same badge,
- the payment went through but the badge was never activated, or
- the payment was made without your permission.
There's no refund if your account is suspended for breaking our Terms or House Rules, or if you delete your account after the badge was activated. Please raise badge refund requests within 7 working days of payment.
For hosts
If you cancel a hangout or meetup, every guest is refunded in full and you won't be paid for those seats. Cancelling often may limit your ability to host. If you have to cancel, do it as early as you can and tell your guests in the chat.
How to ask for help
Email support@besocialz.com with the subject "Refund request" and include:
- your registered phone number or email,
- the name and date of the hangout or meetup (or the badge you bought),
- the Razorpay payment ID from your payment confirmation, and
- a short note on what went wrong.
Approved refunds are sent back to your original payment method.
